Important Read
Before Installation!

Always wear proper
safety equipment.

The pipe must be within
AWWA standards and
verify by measuring the
outside diameter of pipe.

First make sure the
gland is still in the full,
open position and did
not move during
shipping.Cut the pipe
square to length and
remove any fins or burrs.
It is not necessary to
remove factory-made
bevels. Examine and
clean the One Bolt
socket, removing all dirt
and debris.

4. Unscrew the hex head bolt and nut from the gland ear. Remove the “key” from the gland.
5. Using a soft hammer, or a hard hammer and wooden block to protect the coating, finish driving the gland clockwise towards the fitting ear until the bolt can be easily re-inserted through both ears.
6. Tighten the nut until both ears touch. Save the “key” in case the fitting needs to be removed at a later time.
